About

Hello and welcome to Herb Garden Cooking. My name is Bob, and I’m thrilled to share my passion for herb gardening and cooking with you, blending over two decades of gardening expertise with an evolved culinary acumen.

My gardening journey began in rural South Dakota, where my father had a large garden on our acreage, which introduced me to the world of gardening. This passion blossomed in the fertile soils of western Oregon, where I honed my skills in permaculture, nurturing an array of vegetables and herbs with a special fondness for aromatic varieties like basil, thyme, rosemary, and oregano. Now, residing in Minnesota, I continue to adapt my gardening practices to the northern climate, constantly innovating to cultivate culinary herbs of the highest quality.

My culinary journey is equally rich, beginning in my college days, working as a cook in several restaurants and also for a catering company. These experiences laid the foundation for what has become a sophisticated culinary style, marked by my love for grilling, smoking meats, and exploring herb-infused cuisines. I believe that herbs are not just ingredients; they are the essence that can transform a simple dish into something remarkable.
